date ideas

You’ve secured the date. Now it’s up to you to think about some date ideas and have a fun time, so let’s get ready!

Dressing up for the date depends upon where you’re going. If you’re just going to a coffee shop for the primer date, perhaps a suit is overdoing it. However, if you’re going to a jazz club, or a fancy & swanky restaurant, a suit may be what you’re looking for. You can always take off your jacket if it gets too heated with her company… Know what I mean?

Before you go out, gaze into the mirror at your reflection, and say, “I can work with this handsome dude!” Confidence will be your secret weapon while dating. Women are attracted to confident and dapper guys. It’s up to you to be confident and comfortable in your own skin for a successful date.

Coffee date

You won’t want to spend too much cash on your first date of simply getting to know each other. With the coffee shop, it’s easy-in, easy-out, and you won’t spend too much money on the date. This is like an interview process, simply getting to know each other, and seeing if there’s an initial connection (or spark) there.

If the coffee date isn’t going very well, it’s always good to just stick it out, and leave. Be a gentleman about it. It goes both ways though — perhaps she gets a call on her iPhone that her pet frog died. She will need to leave the coffee shop soon! Poor you! Don’t go into it with high expectations — most coffee dates will indeed fail, but it’s always practicing for the next one. If it goes well, and you feel the chemistry, lucky you! Go ahead and schedule the next date after walking her to her vehicle, like a gentleman.

It’s good to ask a lot of questions. Try to get her talking more than you. Listen to her, and you can simply agree or nod your head while she’s talking in your conversation. Show her that you’re interested in her, and pay attention to what she’s talking about. Women love it when they can talk, and you listen intently. They love guys who listen to them. It not only shows empathy and engagement, but it also makes you appear more mysterious to her (because you’re not talking a whole lot), and it lifts her interest level in you.

Swanky restaurant date

This is usually the second or third date after the successful priming coffee date. You need to find somewhere dark, romantic, and unique. Let this place blow her away, and make certain that the food is high-quality. There are many different restaurants that you can choose from. You can go with the Japanese restaurant, where they prepare the food on the grill in front of you, flipping their silverware and shrimp in the air. It is a fun place to date, and spend quality time together.

You should always buy the drinks and pay for any dinner date. Women hate cheap men! If you ask her to go dutch with you, you may as well go home and admit to your failure for being such a cheapskate during the date. Also, while you’re at it, turn in your man card. Always pay for her, and it’s up to you to buy her wine or drinks as well. It’s your duty as a man to be chivalrous, treat her well, relax with her, and have fun during the date.

If it doesn’t seem to work out during the second or third date, be polite about it. After this, you can let her know that you’re not interested, or if it does work out, start planning the next fun date!

Concert at a jazz club

The Jazz Club is also a very creative move. It provides a dark and relaxed atmosphere, with excellent music for chilling out. She will feel relaxed and safe with you. The jazz music certainly won’t hurt in the background. It will provide a nice atmosphere for intimacy and romance. If she’s a jazz fan, that will be a huge bonus for you that will pay dividends down the road. It’s also a different place for going out on a date, and perhaps she hasn’t been to a Jazz Club for a while. You will most likely impress her.

Comedy club

A Comedy Club is also an intelligent option. If you’re seeing a funny comedian, it will help you to laugh together, break the ice, and overall have a relaxing, humorous, and fun time. Try to pick out a comedian that isn’t too vulgar, unless you know that she’s flexible with it. Have a chat with her before the Comedy Club date. Make sure that she likes the comedian and it’s her type of humor.

The shopping date

You both can always meet casually at the mall. Perhaps you can buy her a little cute teddy bear, or a gift to make her happy. If you really want to impress her, go shoe shopping with her, and hold her shopping bags for her. You don’t have to spend too much on her initially. You can wait some years before you fork over those thousands on that sparkly diamond ring at the local diamond shop if things eventually work out with the both of you.

Shopping is cool, because you can walk around, and you can try different fashionable stores that she likes. She will share her interests with you regarding style and fashion, and perhaps if you’re really lucky, you can watch her try on different outfits for you in the changing room. This is a fun activity, especially if you enjoy the eye candy of her trying on different outfits for your viewing pleasure.

Hope this helps you to get some date ideas. Choosing the right destination will ensure a successful date, and I wish you the best of luck with your dating success!
